  1. I love to read all genres. My favorite book has been Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen for many years. This was the first book that I fell in love with. Since then, there has been so many.

I read anything I can get my hands on fiction, non fiction, ebook, paperback, brand new or classic, but what ever I read nothing will beat the immortal words of Ms.Rowling

  4. I am most grateful for the Betsy and Tacey books that I read as a child and opened the world of reading to me. Then, there are the Hobbit, LOTR and Watership Down, all of which my parents gave me one summer to keep me occupied and ignited my imagination.

  5. I'm a fan of historical romances set in the 19th century and early 20th century. A few of my favorite authors that will keep me up nights are Julia Quinn, Sabrina Jeffries, Stephanie Laurens, Candice Hern, Elizabeth Boyle, Shana Galen, Lisa Kleypas. There are others, I'm sure, but if I have a book by any of those ladies, I probably won't rest until I've finished....then I wish I had more of their books to read and sorry I read the one I had so fast! A real Catch 22.

  6. I enjoy many genres, and will go through phases of liking one author or genre. Right now I'm really into manga. Whatever the story, whatever form it comes in, what draws me is human connections and emotions.

  8. I'm most thankful for Rikki-Tikki-Tavi by Rudyard Kipling. It was the first book that I read, all by myself, when I was a kid. It fostered a love of reading that I have to this day.

  9. For me, it's comedy. Preferably romantic comedy... I need the reminder in this world overrun by angst in the real world and in fiction that there is still a lighter side. Gloom and doom, take a hike!

  18. I'm grateful for any book that transports me to another world. These other worlds take away the stresses, worries, and grievances of my own world and deliver me back refreshed, ready to face my own reality again. For all this, I'm thankful, regardless of genre or author.

  19. I enjoy reading romance, historic romance, romance suspense and cozy mysteries. No erotic, time travel, vampires or shifters. Once in a while I read non-fiction. Since I don't travel well, I like seeing new places through the eyes of the authors.

  23. Books have always been my escape from reality. I started reading at the age of 3, & was well ahead of everyone in my class when I started Kindergarten. The last 3 1/2 (almost 4) years they have been my lifeline as I have been basically homebound due to a physical ailment. I seriously don't know what I would have done if I hadn't had books to read. The light at the end of that tunnel is extremely close for me, & I'm looking forward to getting back to the land of the living. Reading however, will still be a big part of my life once I do. I love reading Fantasy/Paranormal w/a bit of romance, & Historical Romance so I guess I would have to say that I enjoy reading Fiction the most.

  24. Books - especially like those written by Bonnie - provide those moments to destress. I use the time reading to enjoy other experiences. I also enjoy the challenge that many books give to open up to the needs of others and see the world just a bit differently.
