Can you believe spring IS FINALLY HERE? For much of the country--including the usually mild Tennessee--winter was long and crummy. So now it's time to cast off the anoraks and dig in the closet for last summer's flip-flops.

Along with spring breezes comes sweet smells and the fun of reading. With that in mind, two commenters will win one of two prizes. The first winner (chosen by www.random.org) will win a deliciously yummy-smelling Diamond Candle.

If you haven't heard of these candles, they're super fun. Inside each one is a foil package with a ring valued between $10 and $5000. Even the $10 rings are pretty, and the all natural soy candle fragrances are out of this world. What is your favorite Christmas memory? Was there a special Christmas moment that seemed heaven-sent...or touched by an angel?

One of my most enduring memories is more a 'lesson learned.' All I wanted that pre-teen year was an Andy Gibb album (hmmm, I may have just aged myself there) and one afternoon after school I couldn't resist the temptation of the wrapped album under the tree. So I peeked. And it was all about Andy! I bounced around the house in bliss until I heard my mom return home. I carefully rewrapped the package and thought I was in the clear...until Christmas morning when I had to pretend to be as excited as I was the first time I opened the gift. I felt awful having to fake it and my mom lost out on my true surprise and happiness, and from that day forward, I've never been even tempted to peek again!

And for the record (hah!) that music still gives me the chills! :)

Candlelight Reads blog is hosting its very first blog hop and in this season of hearts and swooning, the focus is on “Home is Where the Heart Is.” Most of us know what constitutes home for ourselves.  We all know who – or what – holds our hearts, and that is where home is for us.

 

But, some of us may not have a home. We may be wanderers. We could be anything really. Just like our characters or the characters we’ve read about.

So, eight bloggers have joined forces for four days, February 15-18, to give you an insight into what makes a home for our characters or characters we’ve read about! 

In my Christian romance novel series Cascade Brides: Three Novels of Faith, Hope, and Charity, three estranged sisters named for the mountains, each in the far-flung reaches of the state, are drawn back to their childhood home in Sisters, Oregon by men who ultimately help the siblings realize the blessings of family bonds.
